As you’ll know I am a big believer in making something yourself. Whether it is for a gift or to be used/worn by you, there is something special about being able to say “I made that!” At the end of last year I started working for Hobbycraft as an Email and Digital Designer, my role is very creative but I still want to make things you can use, so I was thrilled when they asked me to be a maker for their Blog. I didn’t know about the blog before I started, (I think because mainly I was a store shopper) and although I followed Hobbycraft on all social channels I had no idea how many ‘How To’ guides they have!

In January I was challenged to create a few projects to align with their Sewing Event. Keeping things simple, I got creative and came up with three felt designs, two embroidery hoop designs and a fun cushion design. They are now live on the Hobbycraft Blog, so check them out!
