Ultra Violet Mandala Watercolour Embroidery

After experimenting with fabric dyes during a project for Hobbycraft I felt inspired to create a watercolour piece. For this design I decided to pick out pink, purple and blue embroidery threads. I designed a rather large and ambitious mandala, which as it turns out, would take me months to complete.

With this design I wanted to create an ombre effect with the stitches. Starting in the middle with the lightest pink and working my way out to the darkest blue. I am pretty pleased with how this design has come out, making it one of my favourite pieces to date!
