Days by the Sea Pyjama Set

This summer I have started collaborating with the fantastic Craft Cotton Co. My first project was to design and make a summer pyjama set, using any of their printed cotton fabrics. The mermaid in my went straight to their new Days by the Sea collection - a range of nautical prints featuring sea shells and boat designs.

When creating the pattern design for this garment I used a simple shorts pattern and created the top shape from a basic bodice block. I chose a cami style top as it’s comfy enough for sleepwear yet also looks nice, and of course the shorts are elasticated. The shorts were then made out of the Navy Starfish print and the top was made out of the white and baby blue sea shell print.
