I have had this vintage Levi's jacket for a few years now, it was discovered when my mum and I cleared a few things at my grandad's place. It's in such a good condition that I had to keep it, however I already had one so marked this for a DIY project! It's taken me forever to settle on an idea, at first I wanted to add a massive embroidery piece, this became too ambitious with the amount of spare time I have to actually work on things. So that idea was scrapped.

This year I discovered Cricut. When I say discovered, I mean I finally started using the products I have heard about at work for ages! It's safe to say I'm hooked! With Cricut and Design Space you can truly make something different. Starting with card making, I made a few cards for birthdays around the office. I then got to use the Cricut Maker to create a few projects for the Hobbycraft Blog, and then a few Christmas projects. Whilst I had the machine though, I thought I would add a sassy slogan to the back of my Jacket!
Using Design Space to find images and create my design, I picked out some beautiful Iron-On Foils, Glitter and Vinyls. The machine cuts your design so precisely and I find it so much fun to weed out the negatives of the vinyl.

Layering the different materials was tricky, time consuming and something I had never done before. I used the Cricut EasyPress 2 to iron on everything in layers, following their handy online guide for help!

After an hour or so of pressing and waiting for the layers to cool, I was done and so impressed with how it turned out that I wore it into work on Monday!
